Origin
How this started
I did not set out to specialize in the hard cases. The hard cases found me. I built the foundation of this work through volunteer work with the Humane Society of Florida, local animal shelters, and rescues across the country. That is where I met the dogs no one else wanted to deal with — and where I learned that most of them were not broken, just misread. Early in my work, I started getting calls from people who had already tried everything — other trainers, behaviorists, medication, management protocols. Dogs that had bitten. Dogs that lived in isolation. Dogs whose owners were out of options and out of hope. I said yes. I kept saying yes. Twenty years later, those are still the only calls I take.
The model
Referral only — and why
Ninety-nine percent of my clients are referred. The others have either seen my work firsthand or found me by luck. Either way, they arrive knowing something real is expected of them. That is not exclusivity for its own sake — it is a filter. The clients who come through referral already understand what they are getting into. They have heard from someone they trust that this is different, that it is real, that it requires commitment. That shared understanding makes the work possible. Without it, the work suffers.
The pack
The pack
I live with ten dogs. Every one of them came to me as a rehabilitation case. Fearful dogs. Aggressive dogs. Dogs that had been written off. They now live together as a stable, calm, free-ranging pack — no crates, no separation, no management protocols. They are not a program. They are my life. And they are the most honest proof I have that the method works.

What clients say
"Cindy has been training us, and our pack of 7 large dogs, in our home. We are so amazed at how much they have improved. We cannot say enough about her methods and deep concern for the dogs she works with. Thank you, Cindy. You're the best!!"
Mike and Phyllis

"Cindy has been a great help with my dog's anxieties, not only for him but also for my husband and I. We know how to help our dog when he feels overwhelmed. And we feel confident in our approach. Bonus, he doesn't care for kids because they are normally loud and fast, and he has never been around babies until ours was born. Following Cindy's suggestions, they are doing great. Tucker respects the boundaries we placed, but stays right at the boundary to ensure the baby is good."

"Just had a one-on-one session with Cindy at our home. My wife and I learned so much, and our dog is already benefitting. Cindy is fantastic."
Joe DeCarlo
"Absolutely the best! Love how she explains the behavior in such detail and allows the pet parent to work through it, giving us the ability to handle our dog in different situations, rather than taking over and correcting it herself. She provides us with the proper knowledge so we can figure it out. I was amazed at how I was able to accomplish a perfect heel with my 80 pound male poodle after just the first session. Can't wait to see what other things we accomplish with future sessions."

"Cindy is the best!!! With only a few days of training she got our big Bully into shape! No more rudeness of running me over at every door way or his aggressive food behavior."
